Ora Lee Dunlap Legacy Scholarship

The Ora Lee Dunlap Legacy Scholarship is awarded annually to a Conway High School senior who will be attending a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) full-time for the 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants must be from a single-parent home and demonstrate leadership qualities, high moral principles, and active engagement in community service.


The recipient will be chosen by the Conway High School scholarship committee and awarded a one-time $1,000 scholarship.


Qualifications for applicants include:

  • Must be enrolled at Conway High School (CHS) with a 3.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale (unweighted).
  • Must be accepted to an HBCU and plan to attend full-time for the 2025-2026 academic year and demonstrate unmet financial need as determined by FAFSA.
  • Must be from a single-parent home.
  • Must submit a 250-word essay on the importance of giving back to the community or the significance of education in an ever-changing global society.
  • Must be actively involved in community service activities.
